Finance Director Laura (last name not specified) presented the MOA with the Commonwealth of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Rural and Municipal Aid; the court voted to adopt Resolution R12-25 to accept the CCVIP award.
The court also adopted Resolution R1125 to create a deputy director of animal services position, appoint current Senior Animal Control Officer Kayla Grice to the new deputy-director post and eliminate the senior animal control officer title as part of the same resolution. The resolution was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote.
Separately, the court appointed Ashley Best and Felicia Ford as full-time police social workers in the Campbell County Police Department, effective March 6, 2025. The court reappointed Justin Verst to the Campbell County Planning and Zoning Commission for a four-year term effective March 21, 2025, through March 20, 2029; that motion also passed by voice vote.
On technology and security, the court accepted a proposal from Crow LLP for a cybersecurity vulnerability assessment and penetration testing project. The four-year agreement totals $84,915, the finance director said, and is offset by a Kentucky Homeland Security "Grama" program award of $68,000 with a required local match of about $16,915. The fiscal office said the total cost was included in the county’s fiscal 2025 budget.
The court approved routine fiscal items including budget transfers dated Feb. 28, 2025; interfund transfers for operating expenses dated Feb. 28, 2025; and payment of claims and claims paid per standing order dated Feb. 26–March 5, 2025, as presented by the finance office. One commissioner recused himself from employee-benefits claims because his employer has business relationships with the listed companies.
