In the video Ballard described routine steps he takes when arriving at school, including stopping at his locker and the band room to drop off his saxophone so he does not have to carry it. He said, "I am part of the student council on team challengers, so I will be helping with the assembly that is happening this afternoon." Ballard identified MTSS as his morning homeroom where students "play games and activities that help us settle into the morning." He also said PLTW stands for Project Lead The Way and that the medical detectives unit studies pandemics and endemics and their societal effects.
During a science segment Ballard showed classmates making a timeline of fossils. A classmate, Chase, added, "we made a timeline of the fossils." Ballard said band is preparing for a forthcoming event he called the "District eighth Grama Festival." For a writing assignment he said he recorded a radio ad about "quality time." He described lunch that day as a "boneless wings bar" and said the school typically holds assemblies once a month; at the assembly Ballard said, "The challengers, which is my team, ended up winning the Cougar Cup."
