Agenda items announced include approval to participate in the State of Illinois Central Management Services joint purchase of road salt for 2026 in the amount of 3,400 tons; authorization to waive formal bidding and purchase Ford F-150 Lightning trucks from Sutton Ford under the State of Illinois joint purchase contract in an amount not to exceed $210,372; authorization to award a three‑year turf restoration contract for 2025–2027 (total amount to be determined by bid results); authorization to award a contract for Village Hall shingled roof replacement (amount to be determined); and approval of a design engineering agreement with Baxter & Woodman, Inc., for the Nogales Street storm sewer replacement in an amount not to exceed $72,420.
Trustee Mills reported the Public Health & Safety Committee will meet the following Monday. Her announced agenda items include authorization to waive formal bidding and award a contract to Digicom Installations, Inc., of Fontley, Illinois, for the station alerting system for new Fire Station No. 201 in an amount not to exceed $85,573.43, and authorization to waive formal bidding and order police vehicle equipment from Ultra Strobe Communications of Crystal Lake, Illinois, in an amount not to exceed $32,335.74. Mills said the committee will also receive routine monthly reports from police, health and human services, emergency management and the fire department.
The items announced are committee agenda items for review and potential action at those committee meetings; the board did not vote on those items at the March 17 meeting.
