The Hollywood Park Council heard routine departmental reports that included a fire-department push to obtain advanced life-support credentialing, updates on police staffing and promotions, and a review of the town’s January financial results and recent grant-funded purchases.
Fire Chief Pritchard told the council that the department responded to 51 calls in February, about half of them EMS-related, and that staff will meet with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services for an inspection required to pursue Advanced Life Support (ALS) credentialing. "For the EMS aspect, the fire department, we're going to be meeting with the Texas Department of, Health and Human Services to become credentialed to implement advanced life support," Chief Pritchard said; the department is currently credentialed only for Basic Life Support.…
