Planning staff told the commission the subject site is a 38-acre parcel at the southeast corner of Industrial Avenue and Vinland Street with multiple industrial buildings. Staff described a request to add a plan development overlay to the heavy industrial zoning to permit construction of an approximately 3-acre gravel outdoor storage area behind the easternmost building and said the overlay will allow additional review for compatibility with nearby residential properties.
