Planning staff noted that while the parcel was the subject of MOFD (fire) review practices for setbacks and that MOFD applies more stringent standards in very high fire severity zones, this particular parcel is located in the moderate hazard area on the city’s current maps. The city advised applicants that MOFD standards and any necessary setback modifications would be reviewed at the building or development stage if and when construction permits are sought.
