The Surprise City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to recommend approval of three liquor-license applications to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control and approved the single consent-agenda item on the meeting docket.
Clerk read the applications on the record before each vote: Target (application no. 329402) for Target store number 2915 at 14101 N. Posada Parkway, Surprise 85388 (series 10); Shake Shack (application no. 328360) for Shake Shack #1517 at 16470 W. For each item the council opened the public hearing, received no public speakers and closed the hearing before taking a motion to recommend approval.
Motions to recommend approval were made and seconded on the record; each vote was announced by the clerk as a unanimous yes. The council did not record individual roll-call votes for these items in the public transcript.
The consent agenda contained one item; a motion to approve the consent agenda carried by unanimous voice vote, announced on the record.
