La Paz County’s newly installed county administrator updated the Board of Supervisors on Jan. 20 about priorities and outreach plans.
The administrator said, "It's been a busy and productive first week as your county administrator," and described meetings with department heads, elected officials and consultants to learn ongoing projects, including groundwater and solar initiatives.
The administrator and other board members reported attending the County Supervisors Association training in Phoenix, where they joined legislative briefings and met agency staff and legislators to discuss water policy. The administrator said she will lead the county comprehensive plan project and that meeting flyers are posted on the county website and at the back of the meeting room.
Supervisor Holly Erwin and other supervisors noted recent local events, including a tourism expo at BlueWater Resort and Casino and the Parker 400 off-road race, and encouraged public participation in upcoming comprehensive-plan meetings.
