The committee reviewed a trustee assignment of a tax-sale certificate on March 18 and voted to recommend the assignment to the County Board.
A committee presenter explained that the assignment concerns a certificate for general taxes of 2022 and prior; payment in full had been tendered for delinquent taxes, penalties, interest and cost in the amount of $3,338.04 and the assignment to the County Board's designated committee was being recommended for approval. The presenter said the assignment amount on the paperwork showed $3,338 (rounded) and asked the committee for a recommending motion.
Ms. Bernal moved to recommend the trustee assignment to the County Board and Ms. Jurich seconded. The motion passed on a voice vote and the item will be circulated to committee members for formal approvals and then forwarded to the County Board.
Formal actions: the committee approved the recommendation to forward the assignment to the County Board and approved payment of treasurer bills; both motions carried.
Ending: the presenter noted the treasurer had dropped off the investment list and that several CDs had come due in February; the treasurer will be asked to clarify investment details at next month’s meeting.
