Auditor reports ARPA closeout; county to send $185,834.69 to Dickinson Ambulance

Stark County Auditor Karen Richard told commissioners on Jan. 14 that the county will complete ARPA accounting and send a previously discussed payment to the City of Dickinson Ambulance.
Richard said she had completed the ARPA reconciliations but lost an earlier file and recompiled the report for the meeting. She said the county will send the remaining ARPA balance of $185,834.69 to the City of Dickinson Ambulance as previously discussed; when that payment is processed ARPA funds will be zeroed out in county accounts. Richard said she will finalize reporting and paperwork to close ARPA tracking.
Richard added that she expects to follow a similar process with CARES Act/FEMA funds to reconcile and clean up those accounts; she anticipates returning to the commission in February with recommendations for clearing remaining CARES balances, except for a departmental tribal grant of about $100,000 that will remain available for department applications.
