Burke County seeks Army Corps help for waterway debris; manager outlines debris-removal progress
Summary
County Manager Brian Eppley told commissioners on March 17 that Burke County has collected roughly 270,000 cubic yards of storm debris, is likely to seek short contract extensions for private contractors and has requested a mission assignment from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to clear waterways and adjoining private-property access points.

We've collected about 270,000 cubic yards,” Eppley said.
