Martin said the county received $46,267 as a subrecipient; the award covers 50% of salary, benefits and training for the county emergency management office.
Martin said he had submitted the award for county-attorney review and that the county attorney requested small changes; Martin will bring the revised copy back for signature. Commissioners moved and seconded a motion to permit the commission chair to sign the EMPG grant form contingent on the county attorney's approval of form and language.
The board approved the contingent authorization by voice vote.
What happens next: The county attorney will sign off on the revised agreement; once approved the chair will sign and the county can proceed with grant-funded payroll and training costs for the emergency management office.
