Park County commissioners appointed Tina Gale to the Park County Parks and Recreation Board and designated her as treasurer during the meeting.
Gale told commissioners she grew up on a farm in southeastern Idaho, moved back to Cody 14 years ago, served as administrative coordinator at the local recreation center and worked as a coordinator at Olive Glen Golf Course. She said she has experience filling out grant applications for Park County Parks and Recreation District and Shoshone Recreation District and has served on the Cody Recreation Foundation for seven to eight years.
Commissioners asked about budget experience and balancing competing requests for limited recreation funds; Gale said her grant and administrative work gives her familiarity with budgets and sustainability considerations and she emphasized assessing duplication of services and long-term maintenance for funded projects.
The board moved and seconded her appointment and approved it by voice vote. Commissioners noted her background working with youth programs and local recreation partners and welcomed her to the board.
