Oasis to host bagpipers, special menu and new tiki-bar service for St. Patrick’s Day, owner says

Mayor Dylan Rummerrell and Jennifer Rich, owner of the Oasis in St. Augustine Beach, outlined St. Patrick’s Day offerings at the waterfront restaurant, including bagpipers from 3 to 5 p.m., live performers on the dock from 5 to 8 p.m., a special corned beef-and-cabbage menu and drinks served at a new tiki bar.

Jennifer Rich said she grew up near the area in Ocala, managed the restaurant for about five years and purchased it in 2022. “You know, I, grew up not too far away in Ocala, Florida. I spent my spring breaks and summers coming here. And so when I had the opportunity to move over here, you know, I had been to the restaurant many times. I, you know, started managing about 5 years ago. And in 2022, I ended up, purchasing the restaurant,” Rich said.

On planned entertainment, Rich said, “We have the bagpipers here. They'll be here today from 3 to 5. They're always a huge, attraction. We have new guys on the dock, coming in from 5 to 8 tonight.” She described the holiday menu and drink offerings, saying the kitchen will serve corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips and shepherd’s pie and that the bar will serve “the green beer, Irish car bombs, baby Guinness.”

Mayor Dylan Rummerrell, who visited the restaurant for a brief on-site interview, called the venue “the world famous Oasis” and urged patrons to plan for safety. “Make sure that you have a designated driver when you come here because you're gonna have the best time of your life,” Rummerrell said.

The comments were made in a short on-site exchange promoting the day’s events; no formal city action or permits were discussed during the conversation. Rich emphasized the Oasis’s ongoing operations and recent ownership change as context for the holiday programming.
