Commission adopts city manager recommendations on Willow Hills TIF structure; accepts $165,675 DOJ grant

Parlett described the project as originally planned for 256 market-rate homes in northeast Dayton and said the change is intended to help the developer adjust to current market conditions.
Commissioner Turner Sloss asked whether the Mount River School District had been informed of the change; Parlett answered in the affirmative. No public speakers registered on the item.
Commissioner Joseph moved to adopt the city manager's recommendation; a second was recorded and the motion passed with the commission voting in favor. The meeting minutes record subsequent legislative actions: first reading of ordinance 32142-25 (amending ordinance 31853-20 to authorize creation of individual incentive districts for each phase of the Willow Hills project), second reading of ordinance 32141-25 (vacating Hickory Street from the western terminus to Alberta Street), and second reading of resolution 6851-25 to accept an aggregate grant award from the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $165,675 on behalf of the city.
