Ed (city staff) introduced the item and read background provided by an online speaker, Ron White, who said he appeared on behalf of his family and asked the council to honor Officer Lide’s sacrifice. Ron White told the council: ‘‘He has earned the respect of all the citizens of Ogden and indeed our nation.’’
