Council adopts multiple ordinances, contracts and resolutions; appoints planning commissioner

The Pasadena City Council on March 18 approved a series of ordinances, contracts and resolutions, including funding for software maintenance, sidewalk repairs and park improvements, and confirmed an appointment to the city planning commission.

The council voted to approve final readings on multiple ordinances, moved by Councilmember Guerrero and seconded by Councilmember Dow, and then took first readings on additional ordinances and contract approvals listed by the city secretary. The council also approved a nomination of Suzanne Hernandez to the Planning Commission (motion by Councilmember Valerio, second by Councilmember Estrada).

Why it matters: The measures allocate city funds, extend or renew service contracts and authorize grant applications that affect city infrastructure, parks and public records systems. Among the items the council approved were a $467,032 annual maintenance agreement for the Munis financial software (Ordinance 20-25-71), an additional $221,920 on the 2025 annual sidewalk improvement project with Brooks Concrete (Ordinance 20-25-69), and appropriations for playground and restroom renovations from existing bond funds.
