Herzog told council the work had a split cost allocation among municipal utilities and the electric utility, and that a budget amendment was included in the agenda to reflect the shared funding and to cover city staff costs needed for project management.

Next steps
Herzog said the relocations will take place ahead of the bridge construction window; staff will coordinate with the state and federal project partners and report progress to the council. The bridge work itself was described as starting in fall 2025 and continuing into 2026.
