Pasco resident urges city intervention after persistent low water pressure at Sands Mobile Home Park

Amber Wade, who identified herself as a Pasco resident, told the City Council on March 17 that residents of the Sands Mobile Home Park on First and Court Street are experiencing prolonged low water pressure. Wade said she recently took 30 minutes to fill a bathtub and described widespread, repeated low pressure across multiple homes. She said residents who complain face threats of retaliation from park management.

Wade asked the council to send an independent third-party contractor to measure water pressure (PSI) multiple times at different park locations with both Wade and the park owner present. She said residents need "transparency, fairness, and a real solution" and asked what steps the city would take to ensure consistent water pressure and protect residents from retaliation. "No one should have to fight this hard just to be in a livable home," Wade said.

Council and staff did not take formal action during public comment; the item was presented during the public-comment portion of the meeting. City staff later may follow up with the resident as appropriate under city procedures for complaints and utility or building issues.
