The committee next approved a $310,000 appropriation to retire an existing note from a 2024 StreamBank levy project near Church Street and Rackham Creek and then to be reimbursed from a 2025 note. A committee member explained the city must pay the original note first and receive reimbursement from the renewal; that motion also passed 5–0.
Finally, the committee considered appropriations for equipment-replacement funds for water and sewer operations. Staff said two replacement funds were in the 2025 budget and available for emergencies (pumps, motors, etc.). The packet referenced a combined request and the presenter said roughly $900,000 was available in the account and requested an $800,000 appropriation; the motion was approved 5–0.
All three items were advanced by voice vote without further amendment and the finance committee adjourned.
