Board approves work order for Phase 2 taxiway reconstruction at Hot Springs Memorial Field Airport

The Hot Springs City Board of Directors unanimously adopted Resolution R-25-49 on March 18 to approve work order number 2402527-1 to the master professional services agreement with Garver LLC for phase 2 of reconstruction of taxiways A and B at Hot Springs Memorial Field Airport.
Airport Director Ron Rowlett told the board the work covers design and construction administration and will shift the taxiway to make room for future hangar development. Rowlett said the project is tied to a 95/5 grant between federal and state agencies; the full project cost, he said, is in the range of $5,000,000 and the work order covers the services described in the packet.
Director Marsha Dobbs Smith moved to adopt the resolution; Director Karen Garcia seconded. In a roll-call vote Mayor Pat McCabe and all directors present voted aye. The resolution was adopted.
Rowlett noted maps showing the work areas were included in the board packet. No members of the public signed up to speak on the item. The board gave staff authority to proceed with the professional services work described in the work order.
