A city staff member reviewed a series of consent-agenda items the council is expected to authorize, including consultant agreements, minor public-works contracts, and district-distribution checks.
Staff reported a professional-services agreement with Duncan Coker Associates PC for the Jack Warner Parkway intersection improvements project, a not-to-exceed amount of $36,060. Staff also listed a sequence of minor public-works contracts with amounts recorded in the transcript: Alleva Pro Wash ($3,200); Apex Civil Construction ($9,200); Dark Matter Window Tint ($2,950); Building Specialties Company ($26,361.20); American Fence Company ($6,800); and Taylor Electric Contractors ($11,577.50). In addition, staff said there was an apparent typographical error on an earlier line they corrected to a total of $1,329.94 for an item described in that section.
Staff also reported recommended distributions from district improvement funds: $5,000 from District 1 for the New Heights Foundation; $1,000 from District 3 for the Gauntlet hosted at the Buddy Powell facility pavilion; and $1,000 from District 3 for Northridge High School, with a council member reminding staff to make the school-system check payable to the City School Board. Staff said the council would acknowledge the contents of the 2024 municipal water pollution-prevention report to the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.
The transcript provided is a staff briefing on items that "you'll be authorizing;" the excerpt does not record the actual authorization votes or final roll-call tallies on these consent items.
