The MSD Steuben County School Board at its meeting in the McCutcheon Administrator Center Boardroom approved a slate of consent and new-business items, each by unanimous roll-call votes.

Mrs. Parshall (food service staff) told the board the cooperative helps the district obtain competitive bids for groceries, bread and dairy used in school menus and recommended continued participation for 2025-26.
- Textbook updates: approve recommended resource grid for dual-credit courses (textbooks and materials may be purchased based on enrollment and staffing): carried 7-0. Dr. Ray Liu (staff) said the resources are primarily for dual-credit courses and may be purchased as enrollment and staffing require; many resources will be provided in both hard copy and digital formats.
- Permission to dispose of obsolete or broken band instruments: carried 7-0. Dr. Penrod (staff) described options including consignment sales where proceeds, less commission, would return to the school; the district will follow the approved process for declaring items obsolete and disposing or selling them.
Other business and announcements
The board announced future regular meetings will be held at 6 p.m. on April 15, May 20 and June 17 in the boardroom. The superintendent and staff recognized teachers of the year from six buildings and congratulated the gymnastics team for a state finish.
All formal roll-call tallies for the meeting were recorded as seven yes votes, zero no votes, with no abstentions or recusals reported.
