MSD Steuben County board approves personnel changes; superintendent announces principal reassignments

The MSD Steuben County School Board approved personnel considerations by a 7-0 vote, authorizing retirements, resignations, terminations, appointments and reassignments included in the board packet.
During the superintendents report the district announced several administrative reassignments tied to the personnel approval. The superintendent said Nancy Erwin, currently principal at Angola Middle School, will be reassigned to Carlin Park Elementary to replace the retiring principal, Mrs. Perler. The superintendent also said Chris Bau will be reassigned from Ryan Park Elementary to Angola Middle School, creating a vacancy at Ryan Park that the district said it will post.
The board voted on the personnel slate by roll call. The recorded vote was Archibald, Beard, Caswell, Maggart, Porter, Ridenour and Sturry — all voting yes. The chair announced the motion carried 7-0.
Superintendent and staff noted the reassignments followed discussions by the administrative team and that the Ryan Park vacancy will be advertised starting the next day. The meeting record does not include the full list of individuals in the personnel packet; the board asked that the packet items be approved "as presented."
