Board creates part-time ADRC administrative position with grant-and-levy funding

Chippewa County supervisors approved Resolution 9-25 on March 11 to create a part-time administrative assistant to a benefits specialist in the county— Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC).
Sarah Zilke, ADRC manager, presented the request and said the position would provide essential administrative support to elder benefits specialists. The resolution states funding for the position will come from a combination of state and federal allocations and county levy funds.
Supervisor Erickson proposed, and a seconded motion carried to amend the resolution to clarify that if required grant or allocation funding is reduced or eliminated the position may be eliminated through the county budgeting process. Budget figures discussed in the meeting indicated roughly $25,000 in grant funding and about $13,300 in county levy for the position (figures cited by a supervising supervisor during discussion).
After approving the amendment, the board voted to approve the resolution as amended.
