The Milwaukee Board approved awards of professional services contracts on Thursday and authorized a change in the district's external auditor following a competitive process.
Dr. Brenda Cassellia introduced the items; Janine Adamczyk (procurement and risk management) was present to answer questions. Ayesha Sava, chief financial officer, said the district had used Baker Tilly for about 20 years and conducted a request for proposals. The board approved a three-year contract with CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) for fiscal years 2025โ27 with two one-year extension options. Baker Tilly will complete the FY24 audit; CLA is slated to take over for FY25 and subsequent years under the approved contract.
Director Jackson moved to waive Administrative Policy 3.099(e) and award the contract to CliftonLarsonAllen; the motion passed unanimously. The board also approved other professional services awards listed in the agenda attachments.
