San Angelo City Council approved several consent-agenda items during its meeting, including a task order for engineering design of the Bill Ehlers Senior RiverStage, adoption of an updated purchasing policy, and authorization for airport staff to negotiate temporary nonexclusive food-truck license agreements.
The council approved awarding task order number 2 under an IDIQ engineering-services agreement to provide civil, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and architectural design documents for the Bill Ehlers Senior RiverStage. Al Torres, construction manager, told council the selected team would begin predevelopment design and incorporate ADA considerations into the design. The task order award amount was $490,000; the council voted and approved the item 7-0.
The council also approved a resolution adopting the March 2025 purchasing policy. Jeff Tomlinson, City of San Angelo Purchasing Manager, told council the policy updates procedures for city purchases and aligns city procurement practices with industry standards and federal grant requirements; council approved that item 7-0.
On another consent item the council authorized the airport director to negotiate and execute temporary nonexclusive license agreements with permitted food-truck vendors to provide vending services on airport property. The airport representative said the program will be limited in number of vendors, run on one-year permits and is intended to provide additional food options for airport tenants; council approved 7-0.
