Adam Martin, representing Banner Air, told the March 17 Casa Grande City Council he was asking the council to consider adding Banner Air membership to the city's employee benefits for fiscal year 2025-26. Martin said the membership would eliminate out-of-pocket costs for employees and their households when transported by Banner Air, including no co-pays, no deductibles and no surprise bills.
Martin said Banner Air already provides the membership benefit to other municipalities such as the city of Globe and described the membership as both a lifesaving benefit and a potential recruitment and retention tool for the city workforce. He asked to meet with the city manager and human resources director to discuss how the membership might fit into Casa Grande's benefits package and said he had discussed the opportunity with Mayor Fitzgibbons.
The council did not take action on the request during the meeting; the comment was recorded during the public-comment period. No staff response or formal referral to staff is recorded in the public portion of the transcript.
Ending Martin thanked the council and said he looked forward to meeting with city staff and working with local businesses.
