Committee recommends removing no-parking signs on First Street where center island removed

Committee members said the signs were originally installed to prevent parking on the north side of the street while the island remained. With the island gone, members said the restriction is no longer necessary.

The committee recorded the recommendation as a referral to city council; the council will decide whether to remove the signs and arrange for removal if approved.
