LaSalle council approves permits, pay requests and committee recommendations; committee referrals set for traffic issues

The LaSalle City Council at its March meeting approved a series of routine permits, committee recommendations and payments and set hearings and referrals on several traffic and accessibility requests.

Council action included grants of raffle licenses to two applicants, approval of tag-day requests and special-event permits, authorization of multiple contractor pay requests for sewer and water projects, acceptance of departmental reports and renewal of a membership contract recommended by the finance committee.

Roll-call notes and conflicts

The council recorded roll-call votes on many items. On the variance/waiver for 120 Vermillion View Trace, Alderman LaVary abstained and the council acknowledged that LaVary is part owner of the subdivision and refrained from voting on potential conflicts. On the Heritage Corridor membership renewal, Alderman Bassador voted no; other roll-call results were recorded as “aye” and the motions carried.
