Park staff told the board they will send personnel to the annual playground safety inspector course in Bismarck. The in-class sessions run Tuesday and Wednesday with a certification exam on Thursday; the certification is valid for three years.
Jeremy Ludlow said he has been certified for about 20 years and that the course “opens your eyes” to playground hazards. He said staff plan to send Carter, who works at the playgrounds more than Ludlow, and that Lindsey will run the next park-board meeting while staff attend the course. Ludlow said he would join the meeting online if questions arise.
No board action was required; staff will attend the course and report back on certification status.
