The Cobb County Board of Commissioners zoning hearing on March 18 approved its consent agenda unanimously, clearing a rezoning request, multiple other-business site-plan amendments and permissions for new electric-vehicle charging stations.
The board voted 4-0 to adopt the consent agenda, which grouped several noncontroversial cases that staff recommended for approval. The items approved on consent included rezoning case Z-5, a road-funds reduction request, approvals to install more than five EV chargers at two separate properties, and three site-plan amendments affecting buffers and impervious-surface limits.
Why it matters: the approved items change land-use permissions and site-plan conditions in Cobb County neighborhoods, allow expanded EV charging at two properties, and modify buffers and impervious-surface limits that affect stormwater and neighborhood character.

Process and next steps
John Peterson, Zoning Manager for Cobb County, reminded applicants and opponents of the hearing process used by the board — the applicant presents first, the opposition second, and each side has 10 minutes; information is due to the board the Wednesday prior to the hearing and late submissions may or may not be considered at the board’s discretion. The consent agenda vote was made in a single motion; the board recorded the motion as carrying 4-0.
The hearing concluded after approximately 13 minutes. No contested public hearings were taken up on the record during this meeting; cases listed as withdrawn or continued were explicitly noted as not being heard.
