Miami County Health Department receives board authorization to sign annual Aid-to-Local grant paperwork

Mackenzie Kelly of the Miami County Health Department asked the board on March 5 to sign the county’s Aid-to-Local grant application signature page. Kelly said the package includes the maternal-child health program, the public health emergency preparedness state formula and the county’s immunization action plan.
Commissioner Dideker moved to accept and sign the paper and send it to the chairman; Commissioner Vaughn seconded. The board approved the motion unanimously.
Kelly provided no dollar amounts during the presentation; the motion pertained specifically to the signature authorization needed to submit the county’s annual grant paperwork to the state.
"These are grants that we apply for every year," Mackenzie Kelly said, describing the programs included in the Aid-to-Local application.
