McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson County commissioners approved multiple personnel changes during their March 10 meeting, including a correctional officer position control notice (PCN), a part-time secretary hire and a step increase for a field officer.
The commission approved a PCN to hire Dominic Raybone as a correctional officer, effective March 16. Jail staff provided the department's current jail population counts as part of the personnel discussion; the presenter said male inmates numbered 34, females 6, total scheduled arrests for the week were 24 and those held for district court numbered 35.
Human-resources or clerical staff member Sunny Lisonbee presented additional PCNs: approval of Laurie Shobe (listed in paperwork as Laurie Schaub in one exchange) for a part-time secretary position effective March 17, and a step increase for Summer Funk, a field officer, effective March 16. The motions to approve these personnel actions were seconded and carried by voice vote; one commissioner recorded an abstention on an earlier minutes vote but not on these personnel motions.
