Brown County commissioners disposed of several routine items in a single meeting, approving minutes, an occupational license, accounts payable and the Washington Township annual report, and deferring action on a Kansas Natural Resources Coalition (KNRC) membership invoice.
The commission unanimously approved minutes from the Feb. 24 meeting after a motion and second. "Aye," commissioners responded on the voice vote and the motion carried.
The commission approved occupational license number 25001 by voice vote; a commissioner moved and another commissioner seconded the approval and commissioners said "Aye."
After discussion of line items and vendor charges, commissioners approved accounts payable for the end of the month by voice vote. The records shown to the commission included invoices for contract engineering, bridge inspection and a monthly gas/bottle service; commissioners asked staff clarifying questions about several invoices before voting.
Commissioners reviewed an invoice and membership materials for the Kansas Natural Resources Coalition (KNRC). Several commissioners said they wanted to wait for additional budget information before committing; one commissioner asked staff to revisit the KNRC membership item in March. The commission did not take a final vote to join at this meeting.
The commission approved the Washington Township annual treasurer’s report after a motion and second; commissioners voted "Aye" and the motion carried.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that passed by voice vote.
