A student in her class added, "Mrs. Prudence does really fun things for us to learn. I like when she walks around the room because she helps us."
Dr. Kimbrell said the teacher was "nominated probably by one of your parents," and the class responded with applause after the presentation. The recognition was delivered without formal board action or a vote.
Pudins expressed that the honor was touching because it showed others saw the work she puts into teaching, communicating with families and creating a classroom where children want to be each day.
