Ashley Vanderland, an attorney representing Fifth Third Bank, said the rezoning is largely an administrative step to remove old conditions tied to the property and that the parcel will remain in the South Fulton Parkway overlay. “We are really happy to be here and very excited, that Fifth Third Bank has selected South Fulton as the next place in Georgia to build its next branch,” Vanderland said.
Vanderland told staff she was not seeking variances and that the change is consistent with the community live/work character area for the corridor. Staff reiterated the public participation plan deadlines and hearing schedule; no formal vote occurred at the community zoning information meeting.
