The Klamath Falls City Council took the following formal actions on March 17, 2025. Where the meeting record did not show a roll-call vote, the council voted by voice and the record shows unanimous "aye" responses on the audio record.
- Consent agenda (Item 5.1–5.3): Approved. The consent agenda included approval of the meeting agenda and minutes from March 3, 2025; the February 2025 project update on the wastewater treatment plant upgrade; and approval of the annual audit reports for the City of Klamath Falls and the Klamath Falls Urban Renewal Agency for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
- Ordinance amending city code section 5.285 (Item 6.1): Introduced for first reading by title only after a public hearing with no speakers.
- Business license: Approved the business license application for Outlaw Cab Company doing business as Circuit Cab (vehicle-for-hire). The motion to approve the license passed by voice vote.
- CMAQ grant (Item 7.2): Authorized the city manager to execute grant agreement CMAQ K23736 for use of CMAQ funds available to the city. Motion passed by voice vote. Staff said the grant requires a roughly 10.27% local match and must follow state/federal procurement rules.
- Street sweeper purchase (Item 7.3): Authorized the purchase of one 500-series street sweeper from the vendor identified in the motion as Timco Inc. in a not-to-exceed amount of $404,355. Motion passed by voice vote.
- Land lease and purchase agreement (Item 7.4): Authorized the city manager to execute a lease and purchase agreement with Linkville Land Holdings LLC for approximately 34 acres at Memorial Drive and Fountain Avenue: lease $1,000 per month for three years and a sale price of $250,000 if the developer secures permits and closes. Motion passed by voice vote.
- Special ordinance adopting the 2025 Klamath Falls Urban Area Transportation System Plan (Item 7.5): Passed on second and final reading by roll-call; city manager read the ordinance by title and the council adopted the ordinance amending the Klamath Falls Urban Area Comprehensive Plan and Community Development Ordinance.
- Adjournment: Council moved to adjourn at the close of the meeting.
