Parks and Recreation Director Justin Caspersen said the replacement of the single-story maintenance garage roof is included in the approved 2025 budget. He described the work as removal of the existing roof and replacement with asphalt shingles, including renovation of a dormer. Caspersen said the cemetery maintenance building stores equipment and supplies used to maintain the city's 57-acre cemetery, which includes Catholic and Lutheran sections.
The city received four bids; Caspersen said one bidder's higher price appeared anomalous but that the low bid met specifications and the contractor could complete the work promptly. The board approved the low bid and authorized contract execution.
