BGSU students, community groups plan April 6 spring day of service in Bowling Green

Anna Danziesen and Rhianna Tuttle, both first-year students at Bowling Green State University, told council the event is funded by a grant from the Allstate Foundation and will bring students, faculty, staff and local residents together to help with exterior yard tasks such as mulching, trimming, weeding, raking and planting. The work is organized by a seven-undergraduate-student committee.
"Our goal with the 2025 spring day of service is to unite the Bowling Green community beyond by bringing students and local residents together," Anna Danziesen said. The presenters said the committee has publicized the event through radio, flyers, presentations to the Rotary Club and digital distribution to churches, food pantries and the BG News.
