Dennis-Yarmouth awards DYMS turf replacement to Rad Sports; work to start May 15

The Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District School Committee voted unanimously March 17 to accept a contractor recommendation and move forward with replacement of the turf at the Dennis-Yarmouth Intermediate Middle School (DYMS).
The committee accepted the recommendation from PMA Consultants, the district’s owner’s project manager (OPM), to award the turf contract to Rad Sports. The bid award follows an open-bid process the district pursued after determining the existing fields were not draining as designed and after a separate remediation process to seek damages against prior contractors began.
Dr. Smith, the district superintendent, said the vote “kicks into high gear” the schedule for the work and confirmed construction is slated to begin May 15.…
