The Columbia Falls City Council announced a schedule for interviews of finalists for the city manager position and said the council will hold an executive session after public interviews to conclude selection.
Staff reported one candidate, Kevin O’Neil, withdrew; two candidates remain, Aaron Palmer and Eric Hanks. The council’s hiring committee and recruiter have prepared interview questions and a draft contract. The council said interviews will begin at 9 a.m. March 7, with the interview portion open to the public and a closed executive session after lunch for council deliberations.
City staff said the recruiter and candidates will arrive the evening before interviews. The council asked the city clerk to distribute the interview schedule and related materials. No vote was taken; the discussion set timing and process for the upcoming selection.
