Olympia, March 17 — The House Community Safety Committee on Monday heard testimony on Substitute Senate Bill 5282, a proposal to reestablish an advisory board to the Washington State Patrol's Missing and Exploited Children Task Force (MECTIF).
Senator Lisa Wellman, sponsor, said the board originally created in 1999 was terminated in 2016 and should be reinstated to advise the State Patrol chief on objectives, conduct, management and coordination of the task force's work.
