City clerk Megan explained the auditor, Ryan Jolly, who presented the report at the previous meeting, was not available that night but had indicated he could answer questions. Megan said the audit report as prepared expresses an unmodified opinion on the city's financial statements and recommended acceptance.
Councilmembers discussed a date discrepancy printed on the audit/resolution; Megan and staff confirmed the report covers fiscal year 2022-23 and that the resolution language would be corrected before signing.
Councilmember Kathy Solorio moved to accept the audit; the motion was seconded. The motion passed, recorded as four votes in favor and one absence. The council instructed staff to correct the resolution date and complete the required signatures and distribution to make the audit a public record.
No substantive audit findings requiring immediate council action were discussed on the record. Council directed the city manager to follow up if additional audits remain outstanding for other prior years.
