City staff presented before‑and‑after photos and asked the council to accept notices of completion for six neighborhood beautification projects funded through a program that allocated approximately $216,000 across 12 properties.
The projects—awarded in prior years—include retaining walls, block wall replacements, painting, roof repairs, concrete work and landscaping at addresses across the city. Staff explained that one contractor completed eight projects and a second contractor completed the remaining four projects and two additional properties; staff asked the council to accept the six projects now ready for recording the notices of completion with the county.
At least one property owner spoke in support, thanking the city and contractors. Council accepted the completion items by roll call; staff will record the notices of completion as required and close out the files for those properties.
