The Grants Pass City Council workshop produced several formal directions and votes. Key outcomes were:

- Remove Wednesday presentation synopses — Failed: A motion to eliminate the short staff presentations on Wednesday-night public meetings unless specifically requested was put forward by Councilor Kathleen with a second from Councilor Rob. Roll-call votes recorded two in favor and more opposed (result recorded in meeting as 2 in favor, remainder opposed); the motion failed. Outcome: failed.
- Grants Pass Urban Forest Management Plan — Forwarded for formal adoption: Council voted to move the city’s Urban Forest Management Plan forward to a future business meeting for formal adoption. Motion moved and seconded; roll call recorded unanimous support. Outcome: forwarded to a future business meeting for adoption.
Other procedural notes from the workshop: several requests for reconsideration (two separate items were discussed) did not receive the motions necessary to add them to an upcoming business meeting. The workshop also recorded substantive staff briefings on municipal budget process and public-finance basics for new committee members.
