The Oak Lawn Board of Trustees on Tuesday approved its consent agenda, authorizing several purchases and a construction contract for village infrastructure and public-safety equipment.
Resolutions on the consent agenda included: an agreement with Ritter GIS Incorporated for asset-management software and implementation services for the public works department not to exceed $547,341; waivers of competitive bidding and the purchase of a 2024 Ford Expedition XL special-service vehicle for the fire department from Napleton Ford of Oak Lawn and specialized upfitting for a combined total not to exceed $104,372.05; approval of a 2026 ambulance from Fire Services Incorporated not to exceed $344,226; purchase of a snow-fighter plow truck for a total not to exceed $276,455; and authorization to execute an agreement with Harbor Contractors Incorporated for general contracting services for construction of the joint public works facility and the Oak Lawn Regional Emergency Communications Center.
During the consent-agenda presentation, the clerk read the items into the record and trustees called for a single motion to approve all items. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made, seconded, and approved by roll call with trustees recorded as voting yes: Trustee Sock, Trustee Pembroke, Trustee Olynichuk, Trustee Malo and Trustee Stalker. The board recorded the motion as passed.
The village clerk also presented Disbursement Resolution number 2025-09D dated May 3 in the amount of $2,025,025.25; trustees approved payment of the bills by roll call vote.
Trustees and the mayor spoke separately about the village's investment in infrastructure. Trustee Alex Olynichuk highlighted upcoming street and watershed projects and said the village will spend about $3,800,000 on roads this year, not including slip-lining work; the board said bids will be issued and work is expected to start within six to eight weeks and to be completed by October.
No board member proposed an amendment to any consent item at Tuesday's meeting. The approvals were recorded as routine consent-agenda actions; specific project schedules, contractor start dates and financing details beyond the authorization were not included at the meeting.
