City of Joliet staff told the council at the Aug. 18 pre-council meeting that two information-technology vendor renewals will appear on the next council agenda. The city manager identified a $70,000 award of contract to DTS for ViewWorks Asset Management software support and hosting (CitizenView) and a $44,278 award to CDW-G for Cradlepoint NetCloud mobile router licensing.
The city manager said the Cradlepoint subscription covers secure connectivity for vehicles, field workers and remote sites and that the DTS payment is an annual renewal for the CitizenView platform. Staff presented the items as routine renewals; there was no council debate or vote at the pre-council session.
Both items were presented as council memos (4-40-25 and 4-41-25) for formal consideration at the council’s upcoming meeting.
