The City Council on Sept. 8 adopted Ordinance 47-0-25, approving a minor adjustment to the planned development at 1501 Central Street to allow a new Northwestern University softball stadium. Council member Newsom moved the ordinance, and Council member Harris seconded; the measure passed 7-0. The approved adjustment includes restrictions negotiated in a memorandum of understanding and a requirement that no games or practices extend past 9 p.m. under the current terms.
