Aurora City Council approved multiple mayoral appointments during the Sept. 9 meeting.

• Aurora Youth Council: The council adopted a resolution appointing Ricardo Herrera, Amy Flores, Aspi Chaszke, Alex Feinberg, Ava DeWigg and Alex Tello to the Aurora Youth Council. The roll call recorded 12 yes, 0 no.

• African American Heritage Advisory Board: The council approved resolutions appointing Latanya Rem and Mary Fultz to the African American Heritage Advisory Board, with a roll call of 12 yes, 0 no.

• Aquatics Advisory Council: The council appointed Alderman Ted Masiakos, Alderman Carl Franco and Alderman at‑large Will White to the Aquatics Advisory Council. The vote recorded 9 yes and 3 abstentions; the resolution carried.
